A creative interest I have is cooking with pastries, seafood and poultry. Preparing food can be fun. All I need is just a little imagination and time. Pastries are dessert that are severed for special occasions and after a meal. Pastries are special due to the fact each one tastes and looks different. The creative format comes from the chef. Since I am the one who cooks in my house, I must prepare each dish tasteful and attractive. For example, I was thinking of a creative cake for my daughters&rsquo birthday. I decide to make her a choo choo train cake. The way I want to present this dish is by making it look like a toy train with zoo animals standing near by. The idea of this dish is to make the train look similar to the candy house in the story, â€Å"Hansel and Gretel†. The first step was to add food coloring to the icing. She was excited. â€Å"Mommy, can I mix the colors? † Next, I decorated the cake board with grated coconut. I add green food coloring to the grated coconut. Jessica said, † Mommy, that looks like grass. † Then, I decorated the carts of the train with different color icing. For example, I placed green, blue, and red icing on each of the carts. When I finished decorating the carts, I placed them on the black licorice train tracks. When I was finished with placing the carts on the track, Jessica and I arranged assorted candy all over the train. Another creative idea I had was to cook with the children in after school care at William Lehman Elementary. For example, I had decided to make an orange shake with them to celebrate Halloween. The first step I created, was to add orange sherbet ice cream. Next, I add cream soda to the float. When I was finished the shake, I placed one chocolate chip cookie inside of the float. Cooking creativy with seafood is another outstanding process. When cooking shrimp, I must prepare each shrimp to the procedure I want. For example, when preparing Chinese Fried Rice, I cook every item separately. For instance, this dish requires shrimp. This dish I peel each shrimp. Then I season the shrimp with soy sauce. Then, I stir fry them. When I cook this dish, I add everything in a bowl. Once the Chinese rice is cooked, I prepare the platter. For instance, I chop up green onions and place them around the Chinese Rice. Then I slice thin piece of oranges and locate then around the green onion. The shrimps in this platter are tricky to cook. For example, you must have a spatula in one hand. While you are stirring the shrimps, you must move the pan back and forth with the other hand. I do this so the shrimps do not stick to the pan. The specialty in grilled dolphin is the way I present the dish. When I finish reparing the dolphin, I place the fish on platter with yellow rice and raw green peppers. Then I get two raw mushrooms and cut them into quarters. Then, I place them on all sides of the yellow rice. Finally, I place thin slices of lemon around the edge of the plate. A creative way I present the poultry is by cooking and preparing each dish differently. For example, tonight I am preparing sweet and sour chicken on a stick. When I prepare this dish, I get the chicken and cut it into one inch squares. Then I place the chicken on a stick. Between each piece of chicken, I place a pineapple square, green pepper, and a cherry tomato. When I place the white rice in the center of the plate, then I put two chicken sticks on top of the rice. Once the meal is cooked, I add my creativeness. I get sweet an sour sauce and pour in a slow zig zag motion all over the platter. Another way I prepare this dish is by mixing all the ingredients together. Then I place it in the middle of the plate. After placing the poultry in the middle of the plate, I settle the white rice around the meal.

Gabriel tries listening to Gretta but deep inside he was jealous and full of anger. He started questioning her about the man and by her words, Gabriel knew he had lost touch with his wife. When Gretta explains to him that he had died at the age of seventeen and that he had died for her, Gabriel got a sudden insight. Joyce writes, So she had had that romance in her life: a man had died for her sake. It hardly pained him now to think how poor a part he, her husband, had played in her life (181). His anger and jealousy soon turns to compassion as he tries once again to regain the lost intimacy with his wife. In the epiphany, Gabriel realized how many people had died. When saying how many people died, this does not necessarily mean that the person doesnt exist anymore. In this case, he means the soul of the person. For example, Gabriel realized that part of Gretta is dead because she had always and will always compare him to Michael Furrey, even though he is gone. This is one thing that you can never bring back to life because the situation is not the same now and time has changed. Part of Gabriel himself is dead because he knew that one of his Aunt would soon pass away. He would regret that he had never really appreciated Aunt Julies and Aunt Kates traditions and culture of having that family dinner together. Later in the end of the story, Gabriel thought to himself, His soul swooned slowly as he heard the snow falling faintly through the universe and faintly falling, like the descent of their last end, upon all the living and the dead (182). ACT Rules and Regulations What You HAVE to Know SAT / ACT Prep Online Guides and Tips Because the ACT is such a high-stakes test, the folks at ACT, Inc. have implemented a series of rules to ensure that there is no cheating and that all students have as close to the same test-taking experience as possible. Before you take the ACT, you should familiarize yourself with these important rules. You don’t want to start using some scratch paper that you brought and then be dismissed from the test and have your score canceled. Know the rules so you don’t find yourself in such a situation. In this article, I’ll explain the rules for the ACT and the consequences for breaking them. The Purpose of ACT Rules There are rules for the ACT to prevent cheating and ensure the same test-taking experience for all students. Through these rules, the ACT folks are trying to create a fair, standardized test-taking experience for everyone who takes the ACT. If certain people are given an advantage, that could affect college admissions and future ACT scores. Now that we know why the rules exist, let's take an in-depth look at the rules you need to follow when you take the ACT. All the ACT Rules You Should Know You should review the prohibited behavior during your ACT. Also, these are the items you must remember on test day. Let's go over both sets of rules in depth.I'll emphasize the important regulations to make sure there's no confusion. Key Guidelines You Must Follow on Test Day Be on time! You won’t be admitted to the test if you're late. The reporting time is 8:00 AM, but I advise that you arrive at your testing center by 7:30. When I took the ACT, there was a long line that moved rather slowly to enter the testing center. I showed up at 7:30 and entered the room I took my test in shortly before 8:00. Make sure you're only working on the designated section. If you’re taking the math test and realize that you messed up on an English question, there’s nothing you can do at that point. Going back to a previous section or looking ahead in your test booklet is considered cheating. Don’t talk about exam content at any time.This is a tough rule to follow, but don’t talk about specific questions during breaks or after the test. The ACT doesn’t want you sharing information about test questions because questions are often reused. I know you’ll be tempted to talk about that annoying reading passage with your friend, but don’t, especially at the test center. A strict proctor can cancel your score for doing that. When you arrive at the test center, turn your phone off and put it in your backpack. If you look at your phone or if it makes any noise during the test, you can be dismissed and have your score canceled. You can post an Instagram pic of what you wore to the test after you get home. This is probably obvious, but don't do anything that can be considered cheating. Cheating isn't only unethical, but also you don't want to face the consequences if you get caught. What You Must Bring to the Test Admission ticket - You must have your admission ticket on test day. Photo identification- Make sure to bring an acceptable photo ID. You won't be admitted to the exam if you don't have your ticket and proper ID. Bring an acceptable ID to the ACT What You Should Bring No. 2 pencils with good erasers- On the ACT, you're not supposed to use mechanical pencils or pens. Don't be that person anxiously asking for a pencil right before the test starts. Also, a good eraser is likely to come in handy. A permitted calculator- You can't use calculators that make noise, have a QWERTY keyboard, or use a power cord. You can't use calculator apps on a cell phone or laptop. The proctor may forget to remind you when time is running out on a section, and the clock in the room may not be working. However, make sure that the watch you bring doesn’t make noise and that the alarm is off. If an alarm goes off during the test, you can be dismissed and have your score canceled. Miscellaneous items- Here are some things you should bring that will make your test-taking experience more comfortable and less stressful:a backpack, snacks and water for breaks, extra batteries for your calculator, and extra pencils and erasers.You may not be allowed to eat in the testing room, but it’s a long test so it’s good to refuel during breaks. What You Shouldn't Bring Any electronic device other than your watch and cell phone- If you’re seen with a laptop or personal computer, that will be considered cheating. Make sure you’re not using any audio or video recording devices. That will also be considered cheating. (Also remember that your phonemust be put away.) Scratch paper- If an exception applies and you’re allowed to use scratch paper, you may only use paper that ACT has authorized or supplied to you. A dictionary or thesaurus- The only resource you're allowed to use is a permitted calculator to help you with math. Possible Consequences for Rules Violations The consequences for violating any of these rules can vary. Often the consequence will depend on the strictness of your proctor or test center. If you don't have proper ID or your admission ticket, you may not be admitted to the test. If you’re caught violating other rules, you can be dismissed from the test and possibly have your score canceled. In certain situations, you can have your score withheld if there is suspected cheating. In the most extreme cheating situations, the ACT can even take legal action.
